The site structure and design technique I’ve employed with my YouTube video resume differs slightly from the Boone Oakely Youtube website which inspired me to explore this navigation technique that utilizes YouTube annotations with linking.

As a self-starter and leader I can totally see you developing this form of video resume into a hot commodity. As a Recruiter I would watch this if someone emailed me the link!

  3. Jessica Disney says:

Hi Peter, I was very impressed and shared this with my Entrepreneur network. I think you could productize this and start a resume service business.

  4. Dave Doolin says:

    Peter,

I haven’t even had time to watch the video…
but you are on to something. I get the feeling
this could be one of those “Drop everything else
and do this now!” kind of ideas.

I’m passing this on to a couple of close friends.

  5. Samuel says:

May I know what it will take for you to help me produce a similar resume on you tube please. I must say that I am very impressed with your innovation!!!

    Sam:)

A bit of what I went through to create this can be found on the tab “Serial Navigation in YouTube”. It was a lot of work. Please check out the “Blog (Social Media Marketing) tab as well. Due to the amount of work involved, skills required and the fact that an HR person can’t scan a video like they can text, I’d mostly recommend others start with learning to blog and embed short video clips in their blog. If you want to go for creating your own YouTube Resume with Navigation, you’ll need to learn how to edit a video with Picture in Picture (PiP) and then use the YouTube annotation linking and tips I outlined at “Serial Navigation in YouTube” tab (cross link two separate nearly identical videos).
